About Us

Empowering Young Storytellers

Since 2008, Light the Way Foundation has been opening doors for youth ages 8–17, providing access to filmmaking, mentorship, and creative enrichment opportunities that build confidence and shape futures.

Our Mission

Light the Way Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding opportunities for youth ages 9–12. We provide enrichment programs in film, robotics, arts, and sports that build confidence, creativity, critical thinking, and leadership.

Our Philosophy

We believe that structured creative activities build problem-solving abilities, confidence, and leadership skills that last a lifetime. Creativity and technology open pathways to future success — every child has a story worth telling.

Our Vision

To open doors for young people who have limited access to creative and technical opportunities, helping them discover their voice, develop new skills, and shine in their communities.

Why We Do This

Many young people in our community lack access to creative enrichment opportunities, leaving their potential untapped. Light the Way Foundation is committed to closing that gap.

Through our annual Film Summer Camp and community outreach programs, we provide youth with the tools, mentorship, and platform to discover their voice, build lasting skills, and grow into confident leaders and creators.

Our Core Beliefs

  • All youth deserve access to high-quality enrichment programs.
  • Creativity and technology build confidence and problem-solving skills.
  • Exposure to new fields opens pathways to future success.
  • Community support helps youth become strong, capable leaders.
